What I had was Helvetica Overload — like hunting chipmunks with a tank. So pulling that set out was as cathartic as it was beneficial to my system.

Posted by: steveg
on: 11/06/12 07:22 AM

I just got a reply on the DB Forum. It was suggested that I check my Safari prefs to make sure it was set as the default browser. I was (and always has been), but just for giggles, I reset it, and that fixed it. Go figure!

Dropbox, iDevice, iWork sync

As it is now you have to go to icloud.com/iwork, download the document, make your changes, then upload it back to the cloud.

Too inconvenient. DropBox gives Finder functionality to opening the documents without having to jump through hoops to retrieve and then save the doc.

Plus he has other stuff he wants to store that isn't iApp compatible, with DB it's all in one place. iCloud is trying to lock one into all Apple products, but they do know what's best for us I guess.

Posted by: MacBozo
on: 08/27/12 11:06 AM

I've never set mine to sync bookmarks, since I've been using Firefox since Safari v3 or 4. I really need to sit here and clean up my FF bookmarks so that I can export/import them into Safari before I consider making the switch back to Safari. I really don't need all of my bookmarks synced to my iPhone anyway, since most of those sites are not optimized for mobile platforms.
