Now X can sync to Address Book and iCal. Why can’t it then sync to an iPod Touch?

After my hard drive failed. I can find the earlier version, but I'm not sure what to do. In Now contact, I could just open that database. Originally 10.0.4 had a laundry list of “fixes” that was supposedly in Private Beta. In the end 10.0.4 was released to only address startup and server enquiries.

Did anyone use 10.0.4 as a Private Beta with the promised “fixes” or was that all an illusion...

1. Revert to a backup/saved/archival copy of NOW X data that was created on/before the date you did the above action.
2. In NOW X Preferences, turn off the sync function capability in NOW X so that it stops syncing with Address Book.
2. Delete/clean out all RECORDS in your Address Books on all computers and make sure MobileMe contacts are also empty.
2a. Run MobileMe sync once so that all machines process the deletions.
2b. In NOW X Preferences/Utilities, reset the sync history.
3. In NOW X, you will need to MANUALLY DELETE all duplicates you don't want.
4. After this, save a backup/archive copy of the new database.
5. In NOW X preferences, turn on the sync function capability in NOW X and run a complete sync of everything.
6. After, check your Address Book to make sure the same number of records exist in Address Book as they do in NOW X.

Yes, I want to echo that all my trials were not satisfactory. After several experiments, I am trying to use Bento 3 with average results and not professional results.

I still hope the NowX will survive.
Any expectation?

My personal understanding tells me that you will lose all "linked" data. The date itself may or may not actually remain in the fields (e.g. contact records, calendar dates) where they should be seen, but the linkages will be broken.

Which programs do you find most seamless and successful for migration - Contactizer or Daylite?
