I have a MacBook logic board that works great, but nothing else from the MacBook survived. It is an Early 2008 book. As it sits now, its a logic board with RAM and a hard drive sitting on my desk hooked to my 20" Apple Display. What I'd like to do is put it in some sort of Apple case. I was thinking the Original Airport Base Station, or an original Apple TV.

My question is, has anyone seen the inside of the Apple TV, and will it have room to fit the MacBook's logic board and hard drive? Same question goes for the AirPort Base Station, but I don't think it will be big enough. I've never seen either of these two items in real life, so it is hard for me to gauge their size.

The ATV would be cool, because, it would look like a Mac Mini, but thinner. (Of course, I do not intend to stuff an Optical Superdrive in there.) The Base Station would be cool as well.

Any other ideas for a custom case for the MacBook board would be awesome to hear. I've seen the one where this guy put one inside a Macalley external HD enclosure that looked similar to a Mac Pro tower. I even bought the enclosure, but I think I want something else. Something small and discrete enough to attach to the back of my Cinema Display to form my custom iMac would be cool.

As for my AirPort antennas, I am thinking about purchasing some antennas out of the 20" iMac, as I am pretty sure they will hook right up the the card that is on my logic board. Any confirmation on this one?

Sorry for not seeing this sooner.
As far as editing the aluminum, try anodizing. This guy has a great guide on it- <http://www.focuser.com/atm/anodize/anodize.html> You'd have to take out all the components first, and perhaps to be effective remove Apple's expensive super-tech surface coating... maybe that's a good thing.
On the side of wood, it would be very easy if you're patient with it. You'd need a good thin-bladed inlayer's or jig saw with a VERY small blade and a drill bit slightly larger than the blade and a nice fine-toothed file. You could make the wood as thick or as thin as you'd like, but if you make it too thin (perhaps less than 1/32") your constant typing will eventually rip it to pieces. As far as gluing it, I'm not sure what to tell you, probably superglue is a safe option but you'd have to make very thin lines in-between the keys. Good luck!

I've been playing with the WiiMote on my Hackintosh. Thanks to Johnny Lee Chung he has found new ways/idea to interact with the computer with the WiiMote. Turn your monitor into a whiteboard. Just build a simple IR LED pen and set the WiiMote in view of the monitor.

On the WiiMoteProject website people are trying to find software that will work for this whiteboard software. Pretty much it works as a single button mouse. Heres a list of software I have tried.

GoogleEarth (Have to use the keyboard to help to interact)
Warcraft3 (Have to do a lot of movement and the calibration isn't dead on)
Celestia (Pretty much the same as GoogleEarth)
Klondike Forever (Works great!)
AMP FrontEnd (Works great!)
Gimp (Works alright but with the wrong LED it will move choppy)

I have been playing with the WiiMote on my system for a few days now. I also have seen the video from Cynergy Labs where a guy has built some interactive gloves. My gloves I have in mind will be easier to develop and use. gloves, a wireless mouse, WiiMote, IR LEDs and a few small tact switches.

One hand will control the movement and right/left clicking
The other will control scrolling and other buttons if I decided to use a tilt/multi button mouse.

Very true, since it would communicate. Not a 'true' USB controlled keyboard per se, but it should work and accomplish trying to not use more batteries.

Ok, so the Apple Wireless Keyboards take 4 batteries, not 3 like I originally thought. You'd be dealing with providing 6V of power versus the 5V that USB can provide. I honestly don't know if you are going to get enough juice to power it via USB but it's worth a shot.
