Need Help! i am using Powerbook G3 400 MHz OS x 10.3.9. i installed xpostfacto and updated some video support. it asked me to restart my system. i restarted but it stuck on the start up and showing a system failure. Please tell me how to resolve this problem.

this message appears on the startup:

Hold down the Shift key on start up until you see the Apple and the spinny gear thing. This will be what is called SafeBoot mode. It disables any non-Apple extensions drivers fonts etc.

It will take longer to start up as it also runs a disk check.

Uninstall the drivers you installed, something obviously is in conflict.

i cant even get upto that save boot thing.. holding the shift key isnt making any difference. it is showing the same error message again and again. i even opened the firmware, did "reset-all" but nothing changes.

Okay, it's been well over 10 years since I messed with xpost so refresh me, where did you do the rest all, out of OS 9?

Also why did you want to run xpost, that machine runs 10.3.9 natively.

If it was to update the video drivers only, and you can boot to 9, manually remove the new drivers and copy the originals over from your backup.
