Low voter turnout for mid-terms and special elections is always low, and the older, whiter, more conservative voters are more prone to vote than the left-leaning demo. This is not new news, yet the Dems don't seem capable of (or interested in) encouraging more peeps to vote. The fact that the left's biggest SuperPAC has said they'll sit out 2014 and focus on 2016 is proof of just how clueless the party can be. If conservatives retake the Senate (we already know the House will remain bright red), another Dem POTUS will ultimately be little more than a figurehead.
Thank you SCOTUS and Citizens United. Thank you for turning democracy into sh¡t.
