Song Titles, Artists Don't Transfer from Old PC

Mrs. Stumpy just bought a new PC. She backed-up her files from the old one on an external drive.

She was hoping the song titles and artists would appear on the new computer when she loaded the files, but they didn't. Is there a way to make this happen, or does one actually have to re-enter all the info on each individual song?

Seems I had this same problem years ago when I got my current iMac, and loaded the songs from CDs. That was over five years ago and I had a lot fewer songs at that time.

I think we found a solution in Home Sharing.
