I've paid for a few astronomy apps, but nothing comes close to Star Walk .

Honestly-- I've never seen any app make such incredible use of the iPhone hardware!

Thanks.. I'll check it out. Do you have Distant Suns, and if so, how does it compare?

Also... how you post a link that takes you to the Apple Store to a particular app?

Control-click the name of he app in on the iTunes page and a menu will pop up for you to copy the url to the clipboard.

I should mention lest someone with an older devise download this app without first checking, that it requires a 3GS.

Thats a bummer

I would think ya get a prompt saying you need a 3Gs for this app even if it went through the "app store" ? I mean iTunes would know what phone you have and the developer should have written in a "watch for this thing" ? ?

Certain elements of the app will work on a 3G phone-- perhaps enough to justify the price. But to take advantage of the star spotter function, one needs the digital compass that comes with the 3GS.
