I can't blame Creative for what they did in this situation. However, I do agree with Big-O. I think they could have handled the situation better... In a fashion that gave them some positive press instead of negative. But, I wouldn't expect that. Most companies don't have people who are smart enough to see that...

As Big-O pointed out to me after recording the podcast, VIA has taken a much better stance towards community driver development and open source. It would have been nice to see Creative do something like this instead.
