Xfire, a lonely Mac and dual vid cards on Mac Pro - 01/07/08 03:32 PM

Just thought I would through out a note that I upgraded to crossfire hd3850s. It is sick ass man! I also sold my Powerbook, so there is only one Mac at my house. Sad really. I wish Apple would open their OS up to the masses as it would sell like hotcakes.

Those with Mac Pros, did you know there is a second six pin connector for crossfire or sli? Yep, now we just need Apple to get to work on some drivers!

Only one mac? sad... I have a couple, my sister has an iBook and my parents have a powerbook.

Oh, wait, I have two. I did have 11 of them at one time. Modding just ended up pulling me away from Macs as they have gotten less moddable.

Same here. Still have some 7 new and venerable Macs, but have largely moved away from the macs' conservative hardware policy. Still love them, though wink Macs just give me a lo less trouble.

I have 3 in regular usage and one more that will be when I can soundproof it. I have enough bits and pieces for another 16 or 17. Including older ones which are whole and just not used.

I'm a hopeless modder. I have all these great ideas, but my execution is below par, my patience is insufficient and whenever I hit a snag like needing money, tools or a rare part, I start three other projects and never get back to it.

One day I might actually get my act together and enter the mod challenge.....
