Re: Ignorance, meet Hate. - 08/22/13 04:27 AM

That was sure one funky pole. All the questions comparing Hilary to specific republicans. I wonder why they didnt include the people's favorite, Sam Broadback. cry

45% of respondents were democrat, 36% republican

On question 25 it asked if respondents were white, African American or other. I'm surprised they dint just ask. White or darkie. crazy

Crazy pole

Good lord, Steve--ignorance is one thing, but this seems more like willful stupidity.

Re: Ignorance, meet Hate. - 08/22/13 10:09 AM

Saw that last night on MSNBC. Shocking !! Just goes to show ya, many Republicans are knee-jerk reactionists... anything with GOP is good and anything with anyone else is bad! NO logic or information needed... I hate to compare them to some European party in the 1920-30's . . whistle . . . . BUT that's just what many act like !
and they talk about tyranny ?? Freedom ?? sick

WTF is the Freedom to THINK ??? mad

Re: Ignorance, meet Hate. - 08/22/13 12:12 PM

Yes, but there were more democrat respondents than republican. Unless the dumb republicans put down democrat by mistake.

As I stated, the pole was funky itself.

… Obama caused the recession, bank failures, job losses, housing collapse and created all the debt.
… Iraq & Afghanistan are Obama's wars.
… Bush & Cheney got Bin Laden.
… Katrina Obama's fault.

In progress … and only a short spin to get their warped minds to believe Bengazi = 911. The worst attack on America is Obama's fault. It will happen.

I got it second hand
that the Rethugs put a poison pill in some Bill
that will shut-down "Obama Care" if it IS Signed
that threatens to SHUT DOWN The GOV is it's not,

Then they'd put out the word that;
"If the Gov Gets Shut-Down, IT'S OBAMA'S FAULT!" cry

GOP pollster sounds the alarm

Re: Ignorance, meet Hate. - 08/22/13 09:36 PM

Very leading poll. It shows that people are quick to blame Obama for whatever they are asked. But I think it shows a lot of people were thoughtful enough to not know who to blame - a whopping 44 percent - and it certainly isn't all Bush's (or Obama's) fault. The only acceptable answer of those three choices as far as I can see is the choice most people chose.

Why can't both parties ever really agree on something substantial to benefit the citizen in the U.S.? Down right sad!

Re: Ignorance, meet Hate. - 08/23/13 06:02 AM

Surely 100% of the people of NOLA, who were on the ground and have good reason to have paid attention, should know that Obama was a brand new star in the Senate firmament at the time and could have absolutely no influence on how FEMA responded!

Re: Ignorance, meet Hate. - 08/23/13 12:31 PM

Was he even a Senator in 2005 ??

Checked, and you're right - he was a "newbie" but even if he had 30 years, 1 Senator from a different state can't do a whole lot ! It's FEMAs and the POTUS's job, not Congress. All they can do is pass special funding if it's needed, & even then they need the House vote to seal the deal. eek

Just shows you many voters are NOT paying attention ! (or have short [or NO] memories!) crazy

Then again...

...As far as I'm concerned...
...the British Petroleum/Haleburten BS
that bunged-up the Gulf of Mexico & States
still hasn't been resolved in any meaningful way.

There was a barrel of SHRIMP to be eaten @ RED LOBSTER
that EVEN I won't touch even on their All~You~Can~Eat~Menu

...then there's THE KEYSTONE PIPELINE...
and it's Potential of Eco & Economic Damage throughout
America's Heartland AND Our Aquifer WHEN It Ruptures...

...and all to make a buncharichpricks richer? mad -wtf

needless to say I will never trust 'Nukulier' Power

...but instead...
The TP just spent wasted the best part of 2 terms
of a President willing to work with scientists & educators
(and doctors) to the benefit of ...er...EVERYBODY...?
...yet we're still bogged down...no... GOING BACKWARD!
cry in every sense of the word

I CAN'T STAND THIS ANYMORE
WTH is "The Occupy Movement" when you need it?

What is the real reason we are afraid to blame Obama I wonder?

Re: Ignorance, meet Hate. - 08/24/13 03:18 AM

I can't speak for anyone else
but I don't "BLAME" him for much (of being bogged down)
He's caught between a rock and a hard place and doing
the best he can to stay balanced, focused and moving
forward in spite of all the hobbles and hurdles.

I think what bothers me the most on a gut level is
watching him age practically before my eyes.

In the context of this thread, which at least started being about the ignorance of residents of LA who don't know that Obama could not possibly have been responsible for the gross incompetence of FEMA after Katrina, I am not at all sure what this question of yours means.

Sorry about the Hi-Jack

but my point was that there's a lot of "STUFF"
that got sidelined while our PotUS was made to
waste time convincing MISTER Come-Over that he
was even Born In the USA therefore legitimately
the president of these united states of America.

Well he was alive when it happened and living in the US, so it's not totally impossible. That doesn't mean he is an American though, just to be clear.

I believe he means liberal white guilt, blah, blah blah.

Re: Ignorance, meet Hate. - 08/24/13 06:14 PM

I blame him for many things, like blowing people up in Yemen and having the NSA record my every Google search. But Katrina? Nope.
Posted by: garyW

Re: Ignorance, meet Hate. - 08/24/13 06:26 PM

But I doubt you are afraid to blame him for those things. The HannityLimbaughs out there are making Archie Bunker the victim of George Jefferson's racism. <tongue>

Afraid? Nah. If I were in the company of the man, I'd tell him exactly what I think. I wouldn't do that with Chris Christie, though. eek

Re: Ignorance, meet Hate. - 08/24/13 11:49 PM

Well, he certainly didnt have anything with the problems immediately following the storm. Whether there are issues he is dealing with currently to help NOLA , I don't know. I suppose there could be as the problems haven't all been solved
