A local friend and colleague of mine is running for the U.S. Congress!

He's a Dem, but I think I better shoot him a quick note and suggest he mention that leetle detail on his campaign website. shocked

Adding that (D) will make a big difference …. he'll be called a Socialist Libtard handing out Obama-phones and abortions. Turn it Blue Ohio!

Good luck to him. I got to meet & support our last Dem candidate very early in his campaign … now he's Rep. Ruiz (D) who replaced 6-term Mary Bono ( R)

Whoa... Nelly!

Yeah.. have him add the "D"

Whenever I vote I scan the ballot
and if I don't see a designation right up-front
I figure they've got something to HIDE... like an "R"

ever since the last Repub
drove the bus into the ditch
most Repubs consider it prudent
to hide their Big Red "R"s. wink

I believe in the Republic. Like Jefferson.

The "Republican" Party. Not so much.

I also believe in Democracy.

The "Democratic "Party? Not so much either.

Both parties, but unequally. I read this the other day on Salon:

Robert Reich:

Permit me an impertinent question (or three).

Suppose a small group of extremely wealthy people sought to systematically destroy the U.S. government by (1) finding and bankrolling new candidates pledged to shrinking and dismembering it; (2) intimidating or bribing many current senators and representatives to block all proposed legislation, prevent the appointment of presidential nominees, eliminate funds to implement and enforce laws, and threaten to default on the nation’s debt; (3) taking over state governments in order to redistrict, gerrymander, require voter IDs, purge voter rolls, and otherwise suppress the votes of the majority in federal elections; (4) running a vast PR campaign designed to convince the American public of certain big lies, such as climate change is a hoax, and (5) buying up the media so the public cannot know the truth.

Would you call this treason?

If not, what would you call it?

R Reich is an honest intelligent man who in my own opinion Obama should have picked instead of J. Lew.Reich knows all about the way the economy runs and would have been a much wiser choice.
