Ugh... - 11/30/12 11:33 AM

So I mentioned a few months back that after a client (a TP activist) posted some nasty islamophobic comments on Twitter, I resigned the account and told him why. He took it gracefully and has just invited me to this year's company party.

He used the same email invitation as last year, with one new detail. See if you can spot it.

Nothing says Christmas like a snarky political hate-filled rant.

Of course. And I'm wearing my biggest, gaudiest Chai. And only the Chai! blush

Chai, Starbuck's spiced tea… WTF? Bring him a Festivus Pole and tell him where to stick it.

Truth be told, Jesus probably wasn't born in the dead of winter (is there a "dead of winter" in a Mediterranean climate?) and Christmas is a co-opted pagan holiday. wink

And he probably wasn't born in a manger either, and not in a stable but a house, etc. etc.

But yes, there's a dead of winter in a Mediterranean climate. Unusual, but they've seen snow in Monaco.

Well, that would be more of a continental influence at the Western end of the Mediterranean Sea. Israel, being on the Eastern end with the prevailing wind off the Sea, would be quite different.

Yup. The straw that broke the camel's back. smirk

I'm working on my "corporate" holiday card (doing a real card instead of digital this year), and it will carry the opposite message — inclusive, cross-denomionational, etc. — and I'm sending one to him just to roast his chestnuts. laugh
