WindowMaker in Tiger - 11/13/05 03:16 AM

Well I got WindowMaker to run on top of Tiger 10.4.2

This is what I done to get it to work.

Installed the SDK to 10.3.x and 10.4.x
DarwinPort
X11

I installed window maker thru Darwinport. Then went into the X11 prefs and added a app launch with the command wmaker. I rebooted and launched it. That simple! I'll post a pic as soon as I can.

Very nice! I got enlightenment running on my old OS X install, though didn't like how it worked. Windomaker is a good choice. I did use it with my old Slackware installs from the 8 days, though those were different times.

Yea, I like of Windowmaker doesn't interfear with Tiger's GUI.

Sadly I can't get GNOME or KDE to work yet.

Well I installed KDE and it kinda works. It loads up but none of the keyboard commands and the mouse doesn't work.

Well I give up on KDE and GNOME. I installed AfterStep and it's sweet as heck.
