Logisys Blue LED Clear Acrylic Computer Speaker

Basically I just want to get the opinion of lighting experts on how I can add similar features to my sound sticks. However, I would want the ability to disable and enable it, as I don't think I would like this feature all the time.

First off, is it even possible to access the inside of a sound stick without cracking the seal and ruining the speaker's enclose air space?

Also, how would these be powered? Is it possible to power them through the speaker wire?
