shuffle mod?

I have a shuffle (1st gen) that I just took apart, and its still working fine. Im thinking about attempting to change the placement of certain parts (ie. lengthen the battery wires and move it to the top) so as to make it slightly smaller (i guess technically its still got the same volume, but whatever).

does anyone have any suggestions for mods to do to an ipod shuffle, as long as i have it taken apart and stuff?

You could always add a second headphone jack so you can have two headphones going. It might kill the volume a bit if you use both at the same time but it's worth a shot. Just do a test with it before you mod the case to have a second jack.

You could put it into a weird looking case.  The shuffles just use metal button caps, so wiring any buttons to take-over the existing pad is cake.
