external HD turned internal - 12/28/06 08:26 PM

I got sick of looking at the ugly HD enclosure and remembered my USB 2.0 pci card has an internal port.

This took me a total of about 30 sconds to do  smile

very nice.  Unless you spend the extra bucks on finding a matching external enclosure, those things can def be an eyesore.  Hope you don't' take it with you often...

I never take it anywhere.  its a slow 5400rpm 2.5"  I use it to hold all my itunes music.

i'm tempted to just get a 2.5 - 3.5 adapter and run it right on the ata 66 bus in the front of my mdd.  it would be much faster than usb 2.0.  I get maybe 12mb/sec over usb..  when this drive was in my mac mini I got 30-36mb/sec.
