hi all,

a very different question for you guys... is it possible to make a screen taken from a broken
'ibook'  standalone? if need be having it's own power supply etc?

It can be done but by time you get all of the parts it would of been cheaper to buy a LCD desktop monitor.

The toughest thing to find/buy is a controller for the screen.

How ever there is some use for the LCD. You can make a light up picture frame. I made one before from a old IBM think pad LCD. Just find the power and play with it until you can get a white screen and tape/glue a picture that is a bit smaller then the screen and wallah.

Or go on ebay and buy a new logicboard for the iBook.
