Custom paint job to match the intrepid

My 2000 Intrepid has a color scheme of red, black and chrome. Since im still stuck with a PC for the moment I thought I would atlest make the temp case look like under the hood.








I'm going to leave the handles clear.

All whats left is to wet sand it with 2,000 grit sandpaper and it's good to go.

For the inside of the case im going to use the color scheme aswell. Paint drive cages black, use chrome wireloom and red cables.

i have now finished my HDCage..i will paint it SkyBlue.i like this color..later maybe i will buy some plexiglass/acrylglass and use the wood HdCage as a template..
and i am working on the inside now...thats very difficult because my computer is filled up with so much cables etc..i have to measure 3 times before i do something...hehe..but i hope it will end up good

Heres a pic of the case and heres a pic of the engine bay of the car.

The case is almost done. I got the outside finished. I wet sanded it and use some carnauba wax to give it a nice gloss look.




I also went ahead and took off the middle shelf inside the case for more room.

I went ahead and put in the inside pieces.




I used engine enamel on the hard drive brackets. Look how glossy it is with out primer or sanding.



I washed the parts in my dishwasher then painted them.

now thats pretty nice!! I'd say get some underglow on the intrepid and then put some neons on the case too! =D

Thanks, the case isn't done yet. I am planning to use some DIY neons and also polish the chrome parts. Last time I put neons on a car they got cracked from a high speed bump when I was driving a co-worker home.

Oh, I am also thinking to paint the HD and the DVD drives a red with a black crackle. (Just the HD lid, not the whole thing.)

I got a hold of some red neons and El Wire at a garage sell today for the case and car. If they work right I might also do a underbody light kit for the car with some cheap-o neons from Xoide.com
