first, sorry about my bad english, i'm from Barcelona (in Catalonia, Europe).

This is my first post in this Mac Mod Forum


I wanted to show my new g5 mod. It's simple & easy, but... the idea its the principal new development

Wow, you have some nice-looking mods on there (not to mention an impressive selection of hardware). What do you do for a living?

Nice! That a lot of mods youve got there. My spanish is not so good though.

The G5 it's Dual 1.8, 3gb Kingston RAM (2x512& 2x1gb), two Seagate 200gb (raid0 with external securty copy), Ati Radeon X800XT 256mb

the assistants distribute free short courses of new mac applications (video, digital photo, unix&linux news &more)

Those mods are awsome you should defenitly enter them in the mod challenge. That Lan party looks nice too. The macworld expo should be more like that. Nice specs on your G5 too. :woohoo:

ok! i'm going to publish 2 Mod Guides, i only present in callenge the G5 Versavision in the case mod's section, and the 9600 @G4 in the case section too...

i'm looking to publish other mods... but... i'm not safe of this...

I hope this doesn't come across as too critical - but why did you choose to use wood? Further, have you though about finishing the edges of the wood with a router - maybe put a nice bevel or chamfer on the edges?

this is my comment in the callenge guide:

The reason because i use wood it's simple, i save the original pieces, the tft foot and the original cover. And if i need change this config to original, its so simple!

the edges are not very well finished

you were not first in observing it unfortunately


it thought about covering the edges... or... cover the wood with aluminum plate...

but...

I did not think about using another thing that the wood because it had that wood by hand... and I am very impatient sometimes

we could say that one is a "beta"

I have thought to finish fixing it... but... I do not think that it finishes on time for the challenge.

my idea was to use an thickness aluminum plate
