advice for overclocking ibook - 12/30/04 11:38 PM

I received an email with this question. Do you guys know of any service that overclocks ibooks for people? I dont, but I'm going to wait to respond until I see if you guys know anything.

Do you know of anybody who charges to overclock
iBooks for you? I found instructions on how to do it
online, but found it to difficult to try myself.

This is a used backup iBook with no warranty, so
it's not much of a risk for me. Thanks for any help.

Those models which use an IBM 750/FX processor can be overclocked through software, such as iCook

yea i was going to email him that, but if his is like mine, it has a 750 CX which requires soldering. from the email I'm assuming he knows about icook already.

I would not overclock an iBook. The ice book logicboards are pretty iffy as is. As for the clamshells, I don't know if the risk is worth it. Check out XLR8 your mac for iBook overclocking stories.
