So we're going to be making an offer on this house, probably on Monday. We really like it!

We talked to one of the neighbors and they seem very nice. It's QUIET! And it's two blocks from my place of work. We may be able to get rid of one of the cars.

Well that nixes the whole thang !!
How you gonna contribute to Global warming ditching a car ? whistle

Looks nice, . . . any inside photos ? smile
How many BRs & baths?
The neighborhood is a major thing… sounds like you have picked a very nice one !

It has four bedrooms, although the huge one is really the finished attic, which we'll probably use as our joint office space--we can REALLY spread out up there. There's also a finished basement, with built-in wiring for speakers.

Here's the entryway.

The living room.

The dining room.

The big old room up in the attic space.

Very nice. How about utilities? Off street parking? Heating, air conditioning. Those things

I like the trees. Should help with summer heat

Nice floors

Very nice … love the wood floors and tile.

I dunno about the attic… think there's enough room to share with the misses ? whistle

Looks more like a man cave … oog oog oog !! laugh

Nice. Not exactly the city life you seemed like you wanted though, but close to work. And nobody on the wall next to you.

cool

It's right in the middle of the city, Jim. smile

Well, it's official: I. Am. Green! And I don't mean as in Kermit. grin That's one hell of a find. Really. I will withhold my Mazel Tov 'til you post that your offer has been accepted (keeping fingers X'd for you). smile

What a beautiful house. I hope it becomes your home.

Re: Nw House? - 06/14/14 07:02 AM

If it weren't in the city, we couldn't afford it.

Thanks for the crossed fingers!

Re: Nw House? - 06/14/14 07:37 AM

Ha! Now that's inverted market logic. In most bigger cities, it would be, "If it were in the city, we couldn't afford it." But whatever works is what I always say. wink

We're talking Reading, PA here--trust me. What would cost a half a million in the burbs costs 50,000 in the city.

That attic is the size of my apt kitchen, living & dining rooms.

I love brick homes. Good luck on your offer.

Wow, even better. Nice digs. And no bass line to keep time with, unless you want to.

I do hope that you can still dig a good bass line. You're not that old.

Yet? laugh

Best of luck on the purchase.

Well, at one time, all the NYC subway cars had stuff written all over them. How safe is that 'hood, anyway? laugh
