Morph - 11/03/13 07:56 PM

So I got myself some morphing software yesterday, and the first thing I did with it was to make a "time lapse" film of my transition over the last 30 months. Don't panic, you only get to see my face laugh.

This is a quick'n'dirty first go with the software, but I like all the movement in the result, and I like seeing my face get more relaxed and happy as them hormones kick in properly around face no.6 smile. I thought you might like to see what's been going on over here, since it's not all been tsuris for me - so here it is.

Thanks (and blush) - some people have the misguided idea that gender transition is "selfish" - but to my mind, being yourself out loud is a gift, since it encourages everyone around you to realise they get to be authentic too.

Very nice sequence, pad. Like bird says, you look happier and happier as time passes. Good for you!

And before I forget, happy birth day--a day early, but what the heck!

That was amazing!!!! You went from a handsome man to a beautiful lady. What an amazing transformation. Or should that be transgenderformation? whistle

Also: Glad to see Bird is still here posting. Maybe she'll stick around a little while? smile

Indeed. Selfish? We only have one life on this earth. Kudos to those who want to make the most of it in the time they have.

“The Paradoxical Commandments

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.”

Good proverbs.

I was actually sitting on my floor feeling down when a guy came on the radio and said "here's a song that I think will cheer you up", and then that voice that would become so famous started singing, "Here's a little song I wrote..." It has been cheering me up for decades since.

Re: Morph - 11/04/13 09:21 PM

.

The song that picks me up and bounces me along was recorded by Tony Bennett, among a few others is: [and since I am a whistler, I don't have to remember all those words]

Grey skies are gonna clear up
Put on a happy face
Brush off the clouds and cheer up
Put on a happy face

Take off the gloomy mask of tragedy
It's not your style
You'll look so good that you'll be glad
You decided to smile

Pick out a pleasent outlook
Stick out that noble chin
Wipe off that full of doubt look
Slap on a happy grin
And spread sunshine all over the place
And put on a happy face

Grey skies are gonna clear up
Put on a happy face
Brush off the clouds and cheer up
Put on a happy face

And if your feeling cross and bitterish
Don't sit and whine
Think of banana splits and licorice
And you'll feel fine

I knew a girl so gloomy
She'd never laugh or sing
She wouldn't listen to me
Nows she's a mean old thing
So spread sunhine all over the place
And put on a happy happy face
Put on a happy happy happy face
