Longevity - 09/15/13 06:54 AM

Typhoon - rained all day today. Some facts I gleaned from wiki lists.

Upon the death of Japanese man Jiroemon Kimura, who at 116 an a bit was the oldest living human, there are now only 7 people left alive who were born in the 1800s. All of them are women.

In case you needed to know more, all of these women were born in 1899 except for the Japanese woman Misao Okawa, born in 1898 and who is currently the oldest living human at 115 and a half (verified).

And smile though Jiroemon had a healthy lead as the oldest living human after his death and the death of another man on Sept 13 there are 59 living people over the ace of 110 and only ONE of them is a man.

Aaand blush the oldest person to ever live was Jeanne Calment from France, who died in 1997 and lived to be 122 years old. She is also the only person ever proven to have lived longer than 120 years. Unless you wanna go biblical on me.

Biblical age is fine, if age was figured at the same rate as todays calender age

If you put count it like a dog year, but let's say 10 to 1, you come out with some reasonable ages.

At the rate my body is going down hill, I have no desire to be the oldest living woman or anything near that. I just hope I pass on with all my brain and knowledge in tact.
