Behind the Candelabra - 06/15/13 10:23 PM

I knew Liberace was wealthy but not that damn wealthy! His estate was worth $115 million. shocked
Liberace left his sister more than $500,000. He still left the dogs he always called "my children" $50,000.

He left his companion, Cary James, $250,000 and two automobiles. He left his manager $60,000; his cook a house and a car, his maid $5,000.

And he left the bulk of his legacy, as he had in previous wills, to the Liberace Foundation, which awards musical scholarships and maintains the Liberace Museum in the Liberace Shopping Center here.

Will never look at Matt Damon the same again! crazy And, lawd knows, I do not EVER, NEVER want to see Mike Douglas with his shirt off or his bare ass AGAIN!!!!! sick

Didn't even recognize Debbie Reynolds,Rob Lowe nor Dan Aykroyd. blush

P.S. Damn good HBO movie. HBO free weekend.

Money makes some measurable percentage of the population nuts, to the point where they don't care about whose privacy is protected or reputation spared.

Watched Liberace on TV as a kid. He was always entertaining and pleasant, as I remember.

Good movie.

Rob Lowe killed it.
Didn't know that was Debbie Reynolds.
Didn't recognize Dan Akroyd till I saw his name in the credits and rewound till I found him. Wow.

D. Rynolds

R. Lowe

D. Akroyd

Reading the credits was how I found out also. I couldn't believe it! I had to watch twice, still couldn't believe it. When I watched a 3rd time, was when I could see a slight resemblance all except for D. Rynolds. Damn good makeup job they did on her. She even changed the tone of her voice & had the Polish accent down pact.

All these years, I thought Liberace (Władziu Valentino Liberace) was his first name, not his last.
