He really, truly was a hero of mine.
His concept sketches were the best.
RIP, Mr. Harryhausen. :-(

At least he lived a good long life. 92 years...damn.

And lived long enough to experience the appreciation from his fans.
He was a living legend. cool

My apology blush
I'm sorry, that was thoughtless & insensitive of me.
I really wasn't aware others might be serious fans.

Double Damm !!

I'm with Acumowchek on that one... a real pioneer !!
I didn't realize he was still living...

As a kid, I saw the "7th Voyage of Sinbad" a gazillion times... I was mesmerized - ground breaking like Star Wars ! The first time I saw it, My mom had to come to the movie theater and drag me out at 8 PM !! I went in a 1PM ! ! ... saw it 4-5 times before Mom laid down the law. he , he , he grin Back then, you could stay as long as you liked.

Hey, it's all good. You made a funny. smile
Harryhausen was one of the first nerds. The fact that he created his monsters, and meticulously moved them by hand, one frame at a time, by himself, is still astonishing to me.
He had a vision, and never gave up on that vision.

Dinosaurs RULE!

Yeah, you could say I'm a serious fan… cool

Thank you...

I felt really bad that I may have made you feel bad.
It was never my intension.

I was always a serious Greek Mythology Fan
so my favorite Harryhausen flick was
Jason & The Argonauts.

...and no, I had no idea he did all the model
manipulation himself. I assumed it was all done
by a troop of well coordinated staff workers.

Thanks, yoyo…

Bottom line, Rays movies were FUN.
That's lacking in a lot of CGI movies today.
