Fascinating, I knew the part about making women arch their back and also round out their calves

Very very interesting. Thanks for sharing. I was tickled at this......

A question for the Texans?
Real cowboy boots have a high heel?

My understanding is YES.

This again goes back to Horse riding , where the saddles stirrup comes into play (the heel can hook into) and gives the (spurs) to attach and still have ground clearance. <-- something like that.

The pointed boot part was for kicking them (cow pies) you can get a good left or right spin and fly them pies in the air laugh

From time to time I still put on a pair of high heels...no more than a two inch lift with a broad base....women's size 11 and as wide as I can get'em

Good story about pointed toes but I believe they are pointed to facilatate inserting them into stirrups. Also, they have sturdy instep so that cowboys can stand in the stirrups with the long heel so the boots won't come out.

I like dresses that are mid calf, classic designed, now my pink to-to's are what you might call real short
