Visualize all the birdsongs. Parts of the northern mountain west look like mid-nowhere Africa!

And to go with that...
Googles realtime wind visualization map.

Keep clicking on an area to see better specifics, such as your town/city.

Did you see the Gallery. Here is what Sandy looked like making landfall.

I also like how you can click on areas and get coordinates and wind speeds.

I'm often confused, but never more than when I try to match weather data. I look at that wind map and I see that the whole east coast has winds from the south by south west. And yet it's 23 here, and we have snow showers from time to time. Why doesn't the southerly flow bring me some warm air? I want warm air mama!

Well it's 6:30 EST, everybody is awake in the US. I let the http://tweetping.net/ page run for about 15 minutes. It's interesting seeing the areas most active. There is a dividing line almost right down the middle of the US.

Man, that's like watching the fire in a fireplace -- kinda mesmerizing!

Also, those people in Java are some Tweeting fools! ;-)

I don't even have an account that I know of. Can't imagine making a short commenton everything I see or read.

Seems narcissistic to me.
