Yeah, so what's up with this changeover from calling it two-thousand ten to twenty ten? It's like nineteen ninety-nine!

Think the newscasters started the twenty ten thing...easier than saying two thousand ten

I was hatched not born so many of my friends tell me

It makes sense, Donna. Twenty 10.

I was born in Nineteen 36 not

One thousand nine hundred 36 , so to speak. smile

Two thousand 10 -- naw . . .

Actually I wonder what way will really catch on.

Re: Happy 20-X! - 12/31/09 06:33 PM

Just call it 10

That writing it out is so so dated like before the 60s

Like in addresses

Twenty Four Hundred - Nineteen sixty three <--- Arrrrrgh laugh Talk about texting and driving in the 60-70s , try and find an address

Okay Carp. You call it 10. smile

I'll call it twenty 10.

Reminds me of an old Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald song

Let's Call the Whole thing Off!

You say either
And i say eyether
You say neither
And i say neyether
Either, either, neither, neither
Let's call the whole thing off

You like potatoes
And i like pototoes
You like tomatoes
And i like tomotoes
Potatoes, pototoes, tomatoes, tomatoes
Let's call the whole thing off

But oh, if we call the whole thing off
Then we must part
And oh, if we ever part
Then that might break my heart

So it you like pajamas and i like pajahmas
I'll wear pajamas and give up pajahmas
For we know we need each other
So we'd better call the calling off, off
Let's call the whole thing off

So if you go for oysters
And i go for oiysters
I'll order oysters and cancel the oiysters
For we know we need each other
So we'd better call the calling off, off
Let's call the whole thing off

LOL

If I was driving around to visit you - you would call the police - strange Carp driving around looking suspicious laugh

While all the while trying to drive and read ;
Zero Hundred Sixty Eight (space) One Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Nine - or better yet 068-1789 if they did it in numbers = much easier , mre so if there are missing letters laugh

My son's old trumpet teacher used to say that Ella was hell to work with. I always said, who cares . . . her voice is heaven.
