Thanks. <br><br>I was saving to buy a new tele-lens for my camera and have had my eye on the 70-200mm Nikkor which is available at Best Buy for 179 dollars and now I see there is a new F4-5.6 55 - 200 mm model for 250 dollars.<br><br>The 55-200 is a smaller lens and now I think I've gotta have that instead. <br><br>

Comparison chart between D50/D70/D70s<br><br>The D50 is supposed to be "lower" than the D70s, which replaces the D70. The D50 is the new entry-level DSLR for Nikon.<br><br>

I just realized I hadn't performed the D70 1.03 firmware update that was released in January. It's done now. Thanks for alerting me to the firmware issue.<br><br>
