17 inch macbook pro

hey guys

do you think the upgrade from Core 2 Duo 2.8ghz to 3.06ghz is worth it?
and is it a significant speed increase?

I'm going to be running Solidworks with crossover, Logic Studio 9, and some games of course lol

so what do you guys think?

should I just go stock and upgrade ram later?

iBookdude, I don't want to sound like a jack-hole, but your Google-foo is weak. I think fully 3/4ths of your "bumps" can be found there. Take this for example: "Macbook 2.8 v 3.06" Found lots of good info. If you're really motivated, you could dig through some x-bench numbers to figure it out.
