OS 9 word processor

does anyone know a good text processor for os 9, I was going to buy an upgrade, but everything was working out good on os 9, I have found a nice browser etc.  I just need a text processor for school, i like the clamshell's keyboard better than my other laptop's.  thanks for ur help

Office 98 runs well on OS 8/9.  If you're not a fan of Microsuck then try Appleworks.  Its less capable but gets the job done.

BTW..  I think Appleworks 5 was the last version to work on OS 9.

I have appleworks 6 running on macos9, it was written in carbon. So you need the latest CarbonLib and it works.

yeah, I not buying M$ office again, office 2000 was pretty bad... Appleworks looks good, AW 6 is only $25 what is CarbanLib... thanks

It is the library that allows you to use carbon apps in mac os9. The latest version of mac 9 should have it. I can find the link on apple when I am on a faster connection. I'm on a really slow dial up now... (there is dial up, then there is slow dial up)
