Can an Android device be used as a moblie wi-fi hot spot? I think I just saw one, briefly, in the AP drop down menu on my Mini.

How do you know it was an Android device and not a Mifi one?

In the available network list, it appeared as "Android something or other." It was only there for a split second. Maybe a car going by?

Any rooted android phone can be used as a mobile wifi spot.
