Ok here is my issue.

I have two macs here are the system specs.

Emac:
G4 800 Mhz
250 GiG Hard Drive
1 GiG Ram
running mac os x 10.5.7 using leopard assist

G3 Pismo PowerBook (FireWire):
G3 333 MHZ
512 Meg's of Ram
100 gig hard drive
running mac os x 10.4.11

Now i am currently trying to network these two machines to each other because i take my powerbook with me when i go on trips to store my photo's from my trips i would like to be able to network the g3 to the g4 to be able to transfer files as the g3 doesn't have a fast enough processor to edit photo's nor run iphoto latest version.

Is there a good tutorial somewhere for this because the apple web site tutorial is garbage it only explains if you are networking two machines with the same os.

10.4 and 10.5 are similar enough when it comes to file sharing procedure with each other that it does not matter.
