Airport monitoring - 11/20/07 12:10 PM

Now that I have the Airport Extreme to serve my MBP, it's been working like a charm but I started to think, is there a way to prevent unauthorized access to my WiFi? Do I need to worry about this?

I've set up the password with WPA2 Personal, and set the Airport to recognize my laptops ID only, but is that enough? And can someone still access my internet connection?

In the Wireless pane, select Wireless Options and make it a Closed Network - won't even show up, unless the user knows the base station's name.

- alec -

Do I do this from my desktop Mac or can I also do this thru my MBP?

I've always considered it best to perform any administration duties while hard wired to the base station.

- alec -

Is it mandatory to have a predominantly black avatar once you are a Pooh-Bah?
