How do I know if the Firewall that came with OS X is working?<br><br>Can I view if someone is trying to get information from my computer?<br><br><br><br>

I think you can look in the syslogs for attempted accesses.<br><br>But the easiest way to verify the firewall is working is to try to telnet from another computer into your Mac.<br><br>Try "telnet your.machine.address port_number" in the Terminal. The port number can be any port you want to check. If you can connect, then the port is not blocked by the firewall. If you can't connect, then it is.<br><br><br>
