The Airport Express is a mini Airport Extreme Base Station. In other words, if you don't have a Base Station, then you can plug your DSL's ethernet connection directly into the Airpor Express and use it as your main wireless router. If you do have an Airport Extreme Base Station, the Airport Express would be able to extend the range of the existing network.

So to answer your question you only need the Airport Express. And of course, you'll need wireless cards in both your computers. Oh and the printer can also plug directly into the Airport Express.
