.. the world's greatest rock bassist.
Well that may not be the opinion of all but he certainly ranked at the top.
John Entwhistle
for the first time ever, he mistimed the whole thing.
for the first time ever, he piked it on the rest of the band.

children..of the master
there wouuld not be death metal, if
John Entwhistle had not invented it!
I have no doubt that those who came after the master have had ample chance to do as well or maybe better at peak periods in their careers. Well may it be someones opinion that John was the best and well may it be that others are considered by some. Geddy Lee of Rush admits to have been inspired by Entwhistle. Chris Squire of Yes would also agree. Heck the thing is, let's us see if they can put up the performances that Entwhistle did at the same age... And for gosh sakes, have a listen to some or all of the Who.
Place it all in perspective and you will see why many considered him the best. Anyway it matters not who was the best at any given time as they age and are gone while a new bevy of bassists, replace them. Nay I will not go and listen to another Metallica reording.. ,it will ruin my computer. Since copy protection was brought about by Metallica lawsuits, they are not best at anything in my book and I will never buy a CD again especially one of theirs.

=============================================================
| "Behold the Turtle, he maketh no progress ==== until he sticketh out his neck." |
=============================================================
