Can anyone recommend a good graphics monitor for a scanning station? I can't afford the Apple monitors or a Barco. I've been looking at a flat CRT possibly a triniton. Any specific models? I also like Viewsonic. Any ideas?
thanks,
Loren

Sony ones are Trinitrons. Then there's the Lacie Diamondtron (Same as the Apple Studio Display CRT's. Mitsubishi makes them).

--
I am Dyslexic of Borg. Fusistance is retile. Your a$$ will be laminated.
you can't go wrong with any monitor based upon the mitsubishi diamondtron tube, which is the core of the lacie or viewsonic brands, i picked up my 19" viewsonic for $300 at compusa. great screen with plenty of real estate for the dollar...and a flat crt to boot.

for my second monitor on my dual gig, i purchased a viewsonic E90 flat screen...i think it was about $200 - $300 and is 19"...while, it isn't a flat panel and doesn't look quite as sharp, it is miles above the old CRT i had. i am quite pleased with it.

[color:blue] -sean
whatever you do, don't but a Futura brand monitor. I've had three go out on me completely at my office... and they wonder why I'd rather just buy an Apple monitor for twice the price? hmmm... three monitors in one year, or one monitor for 5 years? do the math... which is cheaper?

...if you don't care where you're going, it doesn't make a difference which path you take.
--the Cheshire Cat to Alice, in Alice in Wonderland, by Louis Carroll
