The G5 uses serial ATA HDs (SATA) and says it supports two of them.

If I want to buy a second one from a third party dealer do I need the cables too, or are they already supplied in the G5 tower for the second drive (from the tech specs it kinda sounds like they are). Its much cheaper to buy a 'bare' drive from someplace like this but it comes with nothing but the drive. I've never installed a HD into a tower so any info would be helpful.

Thanks!

Yes, wires are inside usually. However, I'm not sure about the G5, because it has a new special construction. Installing a HD is a snap. You just need a screwdriver to fix the HD to the house and you plug in the electric cable and the bus and just start up.
