Do you need to have a .Mac account to run iChat? I don't have an AIM number, that's with AOL right? But I do have a Yahoo messenger name, does that help?

You don't need to download AIM...just apply for a screen name--->here

even better...sing up for a free 60 day trial of .mac and you will get your .mac screen name to use forever.--->here

My Stuff
Edited by Lori on 08/01/03 09:16 PM (server time).

I would recommend using the Free trial of .Mac (or just get a .Mac account!). Signing up for AIM via AOL will surely add you to hundreds of junk mail lists!

OK I'm confused, I used to have a .Mac account but it expired, however I guess I still have my screen name, because that's the name that appears when I start up iChat. Can I still use iChat using my old .Mac screen name?
