So no one else here has tried it? I'm really lovin' it! Ya certainly can't complain about the butt-ugliness of this offshoot of Mozilla, Gizmo. Small footprint too, only 11MB, not much bloat. 57 themes available to customize the look of it.

The only oddity is the scroll bar. It's kind of a mouseover thing, not there at first and you think what the hell? You will see what I mean if you download it. Also if you install a theme, it is best to get it from that ww.texturizer site or whatever it is called, save it to your desktop. Then while still on the texturizer site, scroll down and install from there. Kinda weird, but it works. Switching themes from their pref pane within Firebird does not appear to be fucntional yet.

I'll eventually try it. I was waiting for a bit to see what others were saying. The first Mac version of Firebird was so buggy, I had to kill it all the time.

What kind of testing routines do you do Mike? I mean, if you test in one flavor of Moz, haven't you really tested the compatibility in them all?

Typically, I check the following:

Safari
IE5
Camino 0.7 or Moz 1.4
OmniWeb (only just added the most recent version finally)
and finally NS 4.6.1 for good measure (and only when 4 browsers are required)

** sometimes you win, and sometimes you learn **
