i have a buddy who deleted a email account in mail....but didn't realize all the mail everywhere from that account would get deleted as well. any way to get it back? it wasn't stored on the server and it just disappeared.

[color:blue] -sean
he found an invisible file that was created or modified about the time he lost everything and the file is 20 mb which is about the same as the amount of mail he lost.

it's a file named: swapfile0 -- ring a bell?

[color:blue] -sean
yeah...he has a laptop and has everything but the time from when he bought the laptop (two months ago) to last year...so he is missing january - may. not sure why it's not backed up. that sux.

[color:blue] -sean

Mail.app store is in the Home/Library/Mail directory. and they are mbox's

[color:blue]Quitters never win, winners
never quit, but those who never win AND never quit are idiots.
yeah, the file wasn't there later on either, so we sorta figured he lost everything. i'll bet he gets better about backing things up in the future. tough way to learn.

[color:blue] -sean
