Why is it that iMovie2 in MacOSX doesn't recognize the jpegs from my digital camera? Every other application I own that opens .jpg files recognizes them fine, but they are grayed out in iMove2?<br><br><br>
Nikon 885 and Nikon 995. But the weird thing is that a handful of them are recognized? The ones recognized have not been modified in any way that I know of. If they had been re-saved by photoshop or something, but that isn't the case(?)<br><br>
I had the same problem. iMovie2 has a hard time recognizing most JPG's and most MP3's as well. The cure is: convert JPG's into PICT'S in preview by using the export option. <br><br>Convert MP3's to AIFF's using MaCast MP3 converter- which can be found at versiontracker.com.<br><br>It sounds like a cheap fix, but that's all that's worked for me. I even read in the iMovie help file that if you wanna save a still photo from a DV clip, to save it as a PICT incase you wanna import it back to iMovie. <br><br>
Yeah, I had this same problem too...I had to "run" them all through Graphic Converter (and not doing much..perhaps just resizing them a tad and saving them) in order for iMovie to recognize them. It was aggravating to say the least...had 140 of them!<br><br>

Thanks.<br><br>I'm sure it will work, and I've found just saving the jpegs from inside some graphics programs often works. I'm just a bit surprised to see something like that from Apple. I mean, the graphics hardware king and their pet movie software not accepting traditional jpeg stills? weird.<br><br>
