It's getting a bit annoying now... spinning wheels on everything I do – what's the best solution for malware, viruses and all those problems on a Mac? Are there any native or cheapskate solutions or does one have to fork out to get back to normal? Oh, and if one is also running Parallels what about that? Thanks for reading...

Malwarebytes for Mac. It has a 14 day full feature demo, but it will scan your system and fix it after that if you do it manually.

How’s things on the other side of the pond? Glad to see your mortal power supply coil is still functioning.

As far as parallels goes I figure you were looking for a good solution for that also? Malwarebytes. Same 14 day trial etc.

Thanks Reboot - yeah, everything's normal over here, apart from the Mac that is... it seem alright until I open Parallels so the main problem is Windows, doh.

So the Mac is running fine until you run Parallels, then everything slows down?

What are the specs on the machine? A Solid State Drive makes a world of difference BTW.

Have you adjusted the number of cores, RAM and VRAM in parallels.
