"Article 25 of the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948 states that "Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services."---
I recently attended a (very small, only about 2 dozen attended) so called town hall meeting which one of our Republican reps held. Interestingly, one of the attendees asked him the question whether he considered health care a 'privilege' or a 'right'. After a few minutes of 'talking in circles' he finally admitted that he considered it a 'privilege'. He referred to our constitution and claimed that nothing was said about 'health care' in that document. He even asked the audience almost triumphantly if they had seen the term 'health care' in the constitution. Well, of course, the answer is 'no'. I just cannot believe that these idiots get away with stupid sh!t like that! I definitely consider 'health care' a right to which EVERY citizen is entitled. But I don't think I could have convinced this idiot that afternoon.
I figure This CUNTry was built (and maintained) by hard working (Lower & Middle Class) people.... not The GREEDY ArseWipes who Skim-Off (& HOARD) the CREAM
IOW Even IF you Accept that All-WE-ARE is the Peasant-Class/Menials/Slaves/MACHINES EVEN MACHINES REQUIRE MAINTAINANCE To Continue to Optimally Function in order to TURN A PROFIT!
ALSO In order to COMPETE on a Global Scale The Population At Large needs to be WELL EDUCATED to avoid Stagnation. After all, 90% of Innovation has arisen from "Lower Classes" Henry Ford/Thom. Edison verses ERIC TRUMP.
SHORT ANSWER: Yes, It's The RIGHT of The People To Expect FREE Health Care AND A Decent Education.
I ask 2 questions: #1 the one you did...."Is every citizen entitled to decent healthcare = to be treated, IF they need it? If they say "Yes", then we need to get the job none.
If they say NO, question #2. "Do you consider yourself a benevolent Christian?"
Asked that Friday to someone and they said No to#1, and Yes to #2. Then I asked would Jesus have turned anyone away from healing? Would he have asked " Do you have insurance?" Above all, He was a HEALER !!
Healthcare (term) is NOT mentioned in those words in the Constitution, but it DOES SAY we are entitled to "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness!!" Well health is LIFE...and if that's not enough... I'm also entitled to pursuit of happiness which is I want to be WELL again !!
Doesn't mention campaign $ and all that other political BS either, BUT we have it ! Doesn't mention the FAA, NASA, CDC, the Federal Bank, and a S%#TT- load of other things- but we have them !! Get F-ING REAL !! (to your azzwipe rep)
So here we go again.... Graham(cracker)- (hop-along)Cassidy Health bill.... The Irma of Health care bills !! Analysts (not CBO) estimate 30 million will lose coverage, 1000s of kids will receive no treatment and the long standing protection to pre-existing conditions will be removed (loopholes) along with mandatory coverage of workers by businesses... it's a RACE to the BOTTOM folks!
Part of the problem of Obamacare is our medical system itself... we spend $10,000 per person = 2.5 - 3 X what other countries spend and we're #37 on the list of QUALITY care. Many reasons... exorbitant Rx prices with NO way to negotiate lower prices; insurance companies gouging and offering BS policies, but the biggest factor is the GD billing system.... makes astrophysics or quantum mechanics look like addition !! Part of Fixing Obamacare is to fix the medical system itself.... Obamacare just gets all the blame. but it's < half of the problem.
