Trump Jr met with Russian lawyer looking for dirt on Hillary. They've been saying for > 1 year that NO ONE in the TRUMP team EVER met with any Russians. LIARS, LIARS, PANTS on FIRE !!! Are we really surprised?
Awwwww, c'mon! They were just talking about adoptions of Russian orphans. (Are we surprised that the kids lie too? --- No.)
Yep . . .crap doesn't fall far from the Outhouse!
I really think this one is the coup-de-grasse. Trump Jr has changed story 2-3 times... he was notified by email the Ruskies had dirt on HC... and they were working to get his father elected... then he meets with them...and Kushner and Manafort are there to boot- Campaign leadership minus Trump ... and it was in T Tower...what are the possibilities DT didn't know ?
"Donald Trump Jr. was told in an email that a meeting to obtain information damaging to presidential rival Hillary Clinton was connected to intelligence gathered by the Russian government to help elect his father, according to a report from The New York Times."
How the heck did the NYT dig out those e-mails? Of course, right away the Trump-supporters label it 'fake news' etc., and it was a real blast to see how KellyAnn Conway tried to weasel her way out of this mess during her interview view Cuomo on CNN. Looks like good old Mueller and staff are going to be very busy for the next few months! Apparently an important legal question in this drama is whether Junior attempted to solicit information from a foreign source: (Thank you, Daily Kos!) "It is illegal to solicit a contribution or expenditure–any “thing of value”–from a foreign national. 52 U.S.C. 30121(a)(2); 11 C.F.R. § 110.20 (g). A solicitation also need not be express: it can be implied. It is useful to consider the regulatory definition of “solicitation” adopted by the Federal Election Commission."
"To solicit means to ask, request, or recommend, explicitly or implicitly, that another person make a contribution, donation, transfer of funds, or otherwise provide anything of value. A solicitation is an oral or written communication that, construed as reasonably understood in the context in which it is made, contains a clear message asking, requesting, or recommending that another person make a contribution, donation, transfer of funds, or otherwise provide anything of value. A solicitation may be made directly or indirectly. The context includes the conduct of persons involved in the communication. 11 C.F.R. §300.2(m)."
Did not Trump Sr 'beg' the Russians to find those 30,000 Clinton e-mails??
You're so correct; DT did solicit EXplicitly... and T Jr did so also. They're both guilty... which is why so many eyebrows were raised when DT asked for them on National TV during that debate...
And ignorance of the LAW is no excuse... if you run for office you and your WHOLE STAFF should become familiar with campaign laws... NO EXCUSES!! In addition, Paul was there and he WAS familiar and didn't stop them.
At the least, they're all ACCESSORIES to the Russian hacking.. egging others to break the law ! Well now Donald's daily out fit will be complete and match his orange hair !!
