But one appears later.

Apparently something is on the ground, but it''s difficult to tell where it came from in the video.
Someone could have kicked it away from him.
Or, it may have been dropped by someone.
Perhaps the body cam recordings of the officers shed more light in this.
Hopefully, unedited recordings!

Yes, there is something on the ground... in that still photo from later after the police tape is up.
Yes, they may have found it under him and then kicked it way after she was finished filming, but it sure is suspicious as all get out. Her video doesn't show that action. If their video doesn't either then he was murdered.

He had a gun and was wearing an ankle holster, according to the police department.

So I want to know what's the advantage of concealed or open carry? ...seems like you're setting yourself up for disaster !! ...even when you tell them you have a gun they shoot you !! tongue

This man had suffered severe injuries in a motorcycle accident, including a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Yet he carried a gun.
Perhaps he was issued a permit before his accident.
But to be allowed to carry a gun after suffering a brain injury?

A) He was standing when he was shot,
not "fiddling" anywhere near his ankles
B) There's such a thing called "A Throw-Down Piece"
(cheap "Saturday Night Special" kept just-in-case
"A Questionable Shooting" occurs.)

Just another reason to keep his wife at bay long
enough to prevent better "DOCUMENTATION"
while they "SANITIZE" The Scene.

TRUST: It's A Terrible Thing To Waste smirk

yup
Hillary is not suggesting they "Take Away"
2nd Amendment Rights.. but rather more
sensible standards by which people can
acquire & register them.. along the
lines of a Driver's or Operator's
License that need to be renewed
periodically, & re-tested for
similar to elderly drivers.

As far as "RIGHTS" Go: I CLAIM THE RIGHT NOT TO HAVE
MY LIFE & PROPERTY PUT IN JEPORDY BY EVERY JERK
WHO SCRATCHES UP THE JING TO BUY ONE USING
THE "GUN-SHOW-LOOP-HOLE" or ON-LINE! smirk

IMO: Owning a Fire Arm is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT
You can Loose that PRIVILEGE if an Arrest Record
for certain infractions, especially in regards
to Being Placed On The NO-FLY List.

if you wind up on the list in error, you get your
"Day In Court" to have your record reviewed.
I would think Traumatic Brain Injury
may upon examination be cause to
possibly revoke said privilege

Why did the police officer tell him to drop 'the gun'?
Obviously he 'was not fiddling anywhere' but held it (something?) in his hand.
If it was indeed a gun, then the officer acted in accordance with established protocol.
