For anyone freaking out about how they are going to charge their phone whilst listening to music with wired headphones.. here's the $39.00 answer.

Meh, too big and bulky unless you only want to use it at home on a table/desk. If you want to charge the phone and listen to music you can't just hold it, set in your lap or whatever. Someone needs to make a smaller Y connector to split the power and the sound.

Anyway, without the audio port on the phone how does one go somewhere and connect their phone audio to a home sound system for example? How many stereos do you know that have bluetooth?

No sir, I don't like it, getting rid of the port stinks.

Why don't you get a 7 and sell me your 6? laugh

Well, you could use this I guess, although it's still clunky. And, of course, if you wanted to use your non-lightning wired headphones, you'd have to use the Apple lightning-to-stereo-minijack adapter included with the phone -- so that's an adapter plugged into an adapter =P

Yeah, not really digging that either, although I suppose it's "the future" -- I'll still probably end-up getting one, though =P

You're old and out-of-date. grin
The new tvs allow you to connect directly to them which feeds to your stereo.

Or you have Apple TV.

In another 5 minutes there will be cases that split it for you and have 2 connectors.

USB?

You so funny.

Airplay.

Even my daughter knows this. She thinks it's funny to pre-empt my program with her iPad from the bedroom with some silly YT vid. smile

I guess it's just like everything else Apple has done that we had to get used to.. it's a work-around at first, then it becomes the norm. I remember having to transfer data via a USB stick to another computer in order to burn a disk cuz the one I was on didn't have on.

On another note.. we went from vinyl to cd's to mp3s and now we are expected to like BT. Next phone will have a string and an soup can. The string has to be held tight in order to work properly. I can just see it now for all the people that complain it doesn't work... Apple will just say...
"You holding it wrong". laugh
