Are email filters a thing of the past, at least for iPhones? I am pretty disciplined but there are a few heavy advertising places that have my go to email account, and I haven't found nor read of an option to filter them away before I even see them.

Yes, I came here for an Apple question, though I did have to get my Trump comment in. As much as I hate myself I pay too much attention to him too.

I guess I figured out I could do this with the settings on my web based email. Duh. Still surprised they don't provide an option for the iPhone.

Nope, there is no junk mail filter for the phone. Like you found out some have the filter in the webmail. You're lucky yours does. A lot of them don't.
