My wife gave me my Christmas present early: an iMac running El Capitan.

Now, how do I go about finding all the substitute apps to replace what I'm using now on windoze??

My major concerns are subs for MS Money, Audio Caller ID, Nero Wave Editor, and MS Publisher.

Leads?

Thanks

Congratulations!

I've never used the Apps you listed, but I'll open my mouth anyway…
FaceTime and Messages may be able to ID callers.
Pages may be able to replace Publisher.
Intuit Quickbooks to replace MS Money?

Thanks, all I can do is try, huh??

Now, I've been using MS Excel to track my blood sugar levels, and it does well, I just imported all my spreadsheets to my new iMac, but the formulas that worked in Excel don't work in Numbers. Is there someone who might help me with this?

Thanks

The new iWork Apps are extremely lacking. Apple changed them a couple years ago, and they have never been the same since. frown
I ended up purchasing Office for Mac.

What Curtis said, plus for Nero try Audacity.

Nothing will open Publisher files BTW. You can use the "Package for service provider" it's called something like that to export any Publisher files then try to open or recreate in Pages.

What version of Numbers do you have? If it's v 3.x.x I have one I emailed to you at carolina.rr email address that's in your Profile. If it's v 2.x.x I have that too.

Doing a google search I found these two also.

There is a Numbers spreadsheet app. The one for blood sugar is 99˘.

This one is free.

Congrats BTW. Welcome to 21st century computing. grin

Thanks. Now I gotta figure out the differences in the syntax between Excel and Numbers. I have a formula in my Excel blood level spreadsheet that produces an error when I try to use it in Numbers.

I'm trying to get as far away from Micro$oft as I can. That's why I got this new iMac.

Good on you! I have to collaborate with too many PC People, so it was easier to give in and get Office.
